As I'm currently typing this I have a cup of tea waiting for me on the table and the Practical Magic soundtrack blasting through my speakers. Singing along to Stevie Nicks just reminds me of how much I adore this film & how much I'd love to live in a world filled with real magic. Now that I have some free time on my hands, I might as well dive back into blogging while job hunting. I was going to put some washing on. I'm procrastinating. Shhh.

Traveling to flamingo-land was a lovely sight for the eyes. As I looked out of the bus window, I saw beautiful cottage homes, you know, homes that don't have numbers but names. Where everyone knows each other & foliage grows around house windows, shops look more expensive than they are and no litter in sight. My future self wants to live in this village, current self loves living near city's too much. Anyway.. here are a few photos I took while I was there..

HOW PHOTOGENIC IS ALL THIS PACKAGING?! Also I was swarmed by bees while taking these photos! The price of blogging. I guess they just wanted all the yummy goodies inside the box!
Tokyo Treat is a japanese candy subscription box straight from Japan delivered to your door. You can choose from three plans, Small for $14.99 a month, Regular for $24.99 and Premium for $34.99, (which is the one I have) Premium is everything you get in small and regular with a drink and extras included. There were sixteen items in the premium box. Each month has a theme and August was the month of Tropical Fruits! Each part of this post will show you what goodies you would have gotten if you choose other plans. :D Also this post is very photo heavy. :D Look at all the cute packaging! <3 I was planning on doing a video unboxing but we started to eat some of the stuffs and then I decided it would be easier to blog than attempt to pronounce some of the brands in a video :P

This book had me very intrigued from the start. (Also enjoy my use of gifs)

Friday, 22 July 2016

Alright, I'll do a proper review. But those little jewellery boxes should have won you over as soon as you saw them. And I hope you giggled at my title because it fits perfectly with this months theme... ;)

You all know Katy Perry. She needs no introduction but did you know she collaborated with Cover Girl and made her own Matte Lipsticks called Katy Kat Matte. ( HOW CUTE IS THAT NAME?!) Covergirl claim their lippys are a purrfect collection of velvety soft lipsticks with a demi matte finish. There are eleven shades but I only got four. They retail at $7.99 but prices vary.
Since these are not in the UK yet I asked my friend Kristen if she would nip to the shop for them and I would pay her for the lipsticks and shipping. Sometimes having friends overseas helps alot! :D

Who hasn't thought of a way to survive a zombie apocalypse? We've pretty much all thought of what we would do if the world suddenly got a hunger for human flesh. Whether it be rage zombies, slow walkers or just the infected in general. We'd know our survival plans better than the evacuation fire points at work or school. For a split second we all unleash our inner Daryl Dixon and Bear Grylls. {I also want to point out that no, it isn't a real gun in these pictures it's a cap gun/cosplay prop, the knife is real tho}

Thursday, 30 June 2016

You can find part one of my collection here! Where you got to see Garrus, Buffy and Cosima. In this part, I get to show you some of my all time favourite funkos. Moxxi, Leeloo and Claptrap..

Give them a heart to let them know you love them in your box! There are so many snacks to choose from and I can guarantee you wouldn't get bored with these boxes! They even ship in the US. ($11.99) Just choose from the drop down at the top of their website!

I CAN DO ZAT!: Remembering Anton Yelchin

Tuesday, 28 June 2016

"I am not afraid of Death. Course, I'm not ready to go on a date with him, either." - Odd Thomas

I wanted to write this post because every time I log into Facebook, I'm always reminded of his death. I'm a bit late in posting this but his funeral was on the 24th. Anton Yelchin died on Sunday the 19th of June 2016. By a freak accident that involved his car. He was 27 years old. And probably one of my favourite actors of this generation. Why am I writing about him? Well to be truthful, I don't know. I had no connection to him other than watching his work. I didn't know him personally and I had never met him face to face. If 2016 could stop taking beloved shining stars that would be awesome. Fuck you 2016.

I have so many wishlists for so many things that it's beyond crazy but these are the main things (apart from a Gaming PC) that I need in my life.

Monday, 20 June 2016

If you guys didn't know already, I stream games over at Twitch! It's only been recently I got back into streaming due to having really bad internet.. now I just have a potato PC. I've made a lot of new friends from streaming and from watching streamers myself.

Believe it or not. I've never bought a single MAC lippy. Every single one I've been lucky enough to win! Take a look at all the pretty colours! I have to admit though, every time I see a MAC lippy, the shape reminds me of a vibrating bullet. And I'm probably not the only one to think this.

I've been playing Cooking Fever for a while now so when I got the chance to work with them, I snapped up the opportunity! I mean why not review a game that I already enjoy, right? :D

Beam me up Scotty. If you know me very well then you'll know that I love Space. I love Galactic looking things. And when I saw this in Primark I popped it into my basket, no questions asked.

Disclaimer: I have never kissed an alien... As far as I know

Wednesday, 15 June 2016

As the title states this is only part one of my collection, I have many more Pop Vinyls around my house. I love Pops because they are adorable, collectible and affordable. I mean just look at them with their big heads and black eyes. Ever time I visit a Comic Con I always buy one of these and many of them have been gifted by my amazing friends. I only collect the ones I really want and usually only within my fandom. (Unless I get a subscription box pop vinyl) And I always keep them in the boxes.

I thought I would do something new on the blog and showcase some of the mobile games I've obsessed over. This week is Food Street. A free to play game on the Apple and Android store from publishers SuperSolid. Basically you get to create your own restaurant!

"Internet phenomenon The Guild comes to comics, courtesy of series creator, writer, and star Felicia Day (Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog)! Chronicling the hilarious on- and offline lives of a group of Internet role-playing gamers, the Knights of Good, The Guild has become a cult hit, and is the winner of numerous awards from SXSW, YouTube, Yahoo, and the Streamys. Now, Day brings the wit and heart of the show to this graphic-novel prequel. In this origin tale of the Knights of Good, we learn about Cyd's life before joining the guild, how she became Codex, her awful breakup with boyfriend Trevor, and how she began to meet the other players who would eventually become her teammates."

Time and Tide Events
were hosting a Medieval weekend at Newcastle's Castle. So me and my friend Laura with her partner and his daughter decided to see what was going on. We both like the fantasy genre & Game of Thrones and this was quite fun to be at.

Saturday, 11 June 2016

Of course there are many many many more films that I love but these are the most watched films in my entire life.

Friday, 10 June 2016

I entered a competition run by Pastel Dreams on Instagram and won! I chose to get the lenses they sell and they finally arrived the other day. So I thought I would do a little review for you guys since I know a few cosplayers and lenses are staple accessory in most cosplays. Not only do Pastel Dreams sell Contact lenses on their shop (which is closed for maintenance at this current moment)  but they also sell kawaii accessories on their etsy store!

June Ninth, Two Thousand and Sixteen. The weather has been lovely today so Tony and I took a walk to the Ocean Beach Pleasure Park in South Shields to go have a play on the coin machines at the arcades & try and beat each other at racing and killed many aliens! Here are my photos to showcase the day. (I really wanted the poop emoji pillow)

Wednesday, 8 June 2016

TAG YOUR IT! I was having a gander of Happy Little Syllables blog and she had posted The A-Z Book Tag. I decided to do it and here I am.

Tuesday, 7 June 2016

I've never seemed to have needed to "chisel" out my cheekbones due to the fact I have high cheekbones anyway but contouring is a thing and I needed to be in on the thing. So I bought Collections Contour and Highlight palette. And I'm currently wanting more highlighters in my make-up collection. I've never seemed to take an interest in highlighting my cheeks before. Until now.

The simplest DIY you will ever do. You may have seen this around Pinterest, YouTube or just Blogs in general. This is a great way to start of a gallery wall or just to spruce up an empty space. (Outside had better light, hence why I didn't photograph this inside. My walls need a fresh coat of paint too!)

Sunday, 5 June 2016

Everyone and their mother should know about Lush's lip scrubs by now! They've been around and are a favourite among bloggers & Lush enthusiasts. It was only a few months ago when I recently made my very first Lush purchase and I had to wack the lip scrub in to the basket.

Saturday, 4 June 2016

Primark have a new range out called PS.. PRO. And I snapped up a Colour Corrector Concealer from the range. They do have chubby CC sticks as well for a cheaper price (by £1)  and I did pick up the Under Eye Stick as you can see from my mini haul post and I will review that later too!

Tuesday, 31 May 2016

I want Felicia Day to be my new best friend. That's what was in my mind the entire time I read this memoir. I don't think I even stopped. I read the whole thing as soon as it landed on my doorstep. I had been waiting for a while to grab this book. I've been utterly obsessed with Felicia since I watched her on Supernatural (completely forgetting she was in Buffy). A few weeks ago I even binged watched her web series The Guild and had to buy her memoir... this is my review and the occasional fangirling.

Monday, 11 April 2016

If your anything like me when it comes to nail polish, I like to match the colours with the seasons! And Spring is one of my favourite seasons and colour palettes. Essence have a wonderful colour range, available in Wilkos in the UK and I think they've just branched out into Target in the US. I chose a few of my favourite colours to wear during the sunny but chilly days!

Books Read; Jan & Feb 2015

Sunday, 10 April 2016

I've always loved books but the last few years I haven't read as many books as I would've liked. So this year I made it a goal to read books that have been untouched on my shelves or finish ones I started and forgot about.  This is what I've read so far this year and I'm still reading a book as I'm writing this. (TMI: City of Lost Souls to be exact) I've also bought a few books, so expect a book haul at some point in the future. :D

ICONIC 3 PALETTE; Make Up Revolution Review

Saturday, 26 March 2016

I'm a sucker for neutral palettes and fell in love with Iconic 3 by Make Up Revolution. I picked this up at the same time I bought Mermaids VS Unicorns. I just fell in love with the nude shades and shimmery golds and warm tones. I use this palette in my everyday makeup routine. And I love it.

Wednesday, 16 March 2016

Yes. The title of this blog post is from Zenon Girl of the 21st Century. The one Protozoa sings. Leave a comment if you watched this film! <3

I've seen everyone who loves Lush rave about this bath bomb to the moon and back. (space puns, no regrets) I knew I needed Intergalactic as soon as I read the name. I'm obsessed with all things Space-y and not Kevin Spacey. I was so excited to use this in my bath. Now I never used to like baths, I was always a shower kinda gurl but recently I just love to run myself a nice hot bath, read a good book and forget the world.

Tuesday, 15 March 2016

When it comes to my make up, I let my eyes do all the talking. I'm an avid fan of eyeshadows, winged eyeliner and several coats of mascara but when it comes to my lips, I like to be nude. Even though I do the talking, I've never been a fan of bright colours on my lips and I haven't found the right shade of Pink to wear yet but I think I've found my perfect nude shades.

Sunday, 13 March 2016

Hello! It's been a while since my last blog post, which is the norm here. I wanted to start off with showing off the new layout! I'm still tweeking bits since when I got this layout, half of the code wasn't working but I'm quite happy for now with the way it looks. I'm forever changing my layout!
Anyway, I want you to all meet my kitty cat. You may have noticed photos of him posted around my social media but I want you to  get to know this crazy little fur ball abit more.

Monday, 1 February 2016

Ah, Valentine's Day. You're either with it or against it. Another marketing ploy or a day filled with love. I'm not here to have a debate, I'm here to guide you. So you can find a small perfect gesture to say "thank you for not dumping my ass when I farted under the covers and made you smell it" or "This is to tell you that even if Margot Robbie asked me to be her lover, I'd turn her down because you are forever" Soppy shit like that.

5 Things I Loved This Week;

Saturday, 30 January 2016

This week I attended a funeral and had a two day job interview for CEX, which was interesting, nerve wracking and terrifying for me. I passed day one. Day two was group session day. I'M NOT GOOD WITH SOCIAL INTERACTION GUYS! And here I am, going for a sales assistant job. I met fellow cosplayers and streamers in the group session. If I did get the job, I would cry because I start training on Monday and I'm petrified of fucking shit up with money or just talking to customers in general. OMFG. I would also cry if I didn't get the job but that's life. It's been so long since I've had a proper job and my anxiety is through the roof and outta this world. I know I can do this. But the horrible gross pains inside from overthinking is too much ANYWAY, let's crack on..

Graze Box #1 & £5 Off Voucher!

Thursday, 28 January 2016

Ahhhh, we all know the Graze box, we've seen the ads, we've seen the free box codes and we love how much they've grown. I had subscribed to their service a few years back and it's great to see how much they've added to the boxes and the variety of them. I chose to get Graze again because I'm trying to be healthier this year and its just a perfect little snack for when I'm out and about. If you don't know what Graze is (do you live under a rock?) let me tell you abit about them before I go on about how delicious everything is in my box!

Mermaids VS Unicorns; Make Up Revolution Review

Friday, 22 January 2016

AHHHHAHHHAHHHHH AHHH AAHHH AAHHHHHHH. <--- Yep that's my Ariel impression.

I have wanted this eyeshadow palette from Make Up Revolution for so long! Just the name alone makes me want it. Mermaids VS Unicorns. It sounds magical and looks magical too. For just £4, you can't go wrong.
The palette consists of beautiful sea shades of blues and greens to magical pinks and purples. All shades are shimmery to add to the magical-ness (that's not a word but I don't care)  of it all and the colour is truly eye popping. SO MANY SPARKLES.
I'm more of a neutral colour kinda gal when it comes to my eyeshadow and I wanted something abit different. This palette is perfect for people who adore bright colours and want to look like a beautiful creature at the same time.

You'll be seeing alot of selfies, sporting these shades. :D
The only con side is the poor eyeshadow applicator brush. I'd prefer to use a pro brush.

Have you tried this palette from Make Up Revolution? Let me know!
Which side are you on? Mermaid or Unicorn?

If you want this palette.. You can buy it here.
